May 2009 LETTER FROM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR :
Dear parent / student,
I am writing to let you know that the Encore International Music Summer School will not take place in 2009.
Four major funding applications were made over the past 8 months on behalf of Encore, but unfortunately adequate funding was not forthcoming.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all parents and grandparents of Encore students who campaigned locally for funding over the past 8 months.
Hopefully we will be back again next year!

The 2nd Encore International Music Summer School took in Scoil Naomh Mura, Tooban, Fahan, County Donegal from 14 - 19 July 2008.
Tuition in :- Piano, Strings, Singing, Song-writing, Guitar, Recorder, Woodwind, Sean-nós Singing, Traditional Irish fiddle and flute.

Encore Free Lunch time Concert Series:-
Monday 14th July 2008 1pm-1.45pm
Traditional Irish Music Recital featuring Louise McKinney (Traditional Flute, Tin whistle, Sean-nós singing), Edel McLaugllin (Piano and Piano Accordian), Joseph Gibson (Fiddle and Guitar).
Tuesday 15th July 2008 1pm-1.45pm
Lisa Hutchings (Recorders), Darina Gibson (Piano), Jane Hughes (Cello) performs music by Handel, CPE Bach & Gosec.
Wednesday 16th July 2008 1pm-1.45pm
Órna Loughnane (Violin), Jane Hughes (Cello), Darina Gibson (Piano) performs music by Mozart, Haydn & Kreisler.
Thursday 17th July 2008 1pm-1.45pm
Margaret Keys (Soprano), Darina Gibson (Piano) performs selection of songs from the musicals.
Friday 18th July 2008 1pm-1.45pm
Advanced students from the Encore Summer School perform a varied programme.
